Two weeks ago, I decided to move my wordpress.com blog to wordpress.org.
A couple of fellas I followed on WordPress kept reposting their posts every week.
I kept wondering how on earth that was possible and searched for answers.
I was intrigued, of course.
It turns out that the org has many plugins to enable this feature. (FREE to be precise). And so, I started the transfer to org!
Yesterday night, it was finally finished.
It took seven days, and several customer service calls to have this blog up and running again.
First, the website didn’t load. Then the posts didn’t appear. Then the photos got lost. Then the theme stopped working.
Until now, when it finally started working again.
The funny part, though, is that my most anticipated plugin does not work. I installed it and re-published my old posts right away, but nothing happened.
(except that those posts sit on my homepage now with a new date.)
Gawd! It was so lame. What’s the entire point of re-publishing if posts don’t appear in readers view?
No wonder why the plugin was FREE.
Hoping a wise person would drop by and share some wisdom. (or my frustration!). Either is fine.
